Deep underground in Dan Yr Ogof Cave our annual ‘Halloween experience’ takes place. Long before you get to the unique setting for our Halloween festivities the cries, moans of the ghosts, and ghouls can be heard echoing through the cave! Looking up you will see witches flying out of the smaller cave passageways as they make their way to Cauldron Chamber, which is the starting point for this unearthly event.
Everywhere in this section of the cave the human skulls, spiders, rats, and screeching sounds indicate that you are in another world, the underworld, where everyone’s most terrifying fantasies have suddenly become a reality!
This is one experience you will never forget, however hard you try !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Join in a Halloween-themed trail at Tretower Court for a day of thrills and chills!

Spooky Halloween Day

Tretower Court is a majestically preserved 14th century manor house with a ruined castle tower nearby that dates back to medieval times.
It’s so soaked in history, a few people suspect it might be haunted.  So it was no surprise when the TV series “Most Haunted”filmed an episode there and discovered a few things.  According to the guides who were working that day, the presenters “made lots of noise and all came out feeling very sad!”.  We’re quite sure you’ll be feeling more amazed than sad when you visit this quite outstanding place.

The spooky halloween trail will take participants around the Court and Castle, and everyone who completes the quiz will be rewarded with the site sticker “ Tretower C & C Halloween Trail completed!” and a goody bag of sweets.

Halloween at Dinefwr

Torchlight tour around the basement of Newton House
There are many spooky stories of ghostly sightings, supernatural experiences and from time to time, the unmistakable aroma of pipe or cigar smoke in the butler’s pantry.

Even some of the most sceptical staff refuse to go to some areas of the house alone where as others see the spirits of the Dinefwr family as old friends.

This season there will be torchlight tours at Newton House after dark on their History and Hauntings events and Newton House Sleepover event. Book your place today if you dare. Call 01558 824512
