If you’re searching for an event that’s going to test your mind and body this August Bank Holiday weekend – the Bwlch with Altitude Challenge could be just what you’re looking for.
The Bwlch with Altitude Challenge on Saturday, August 25 sees teams of up to four people make their way around a scenic 12-mile course around Llangors Lake – the largest lake in South Wales – while taking pictures for a cryptic photographic contest.
The Challenge… The energetic circular walk starts and finishes in Bwlch, near Crickhowell, taking in two mountain ridges, two beautiful churches at Llangasty and Llangors, 360 degree views of Llangors Lake and a protected Nature Reserve along the way. Teams will have to solve a series of clues and puzzles in a bid to scoop the £100 prize to donate to a charity chosen by the winning team.
Participant will travel through the Neolithic, Iron, Roman, Medieval and Victorian ages which are evident by the monuments and buildings left by people from the past.
