Another Fantastic Fayre For Hay…

Here’s some latest news on the newest fayre in the Brecon Beacons which takes place 25th August, there’s also an amazing 25% discount offer exclusive to this blog….

Mid-July saw the arrival of a brand-new event in Hay-on-Wye, offering what they called ‘A Taste of the Extraordinary’.

A rare yet perfectly timed bout of glorious weather ensured the free-to-enter event was full of smiling faces, charmed by the stunning location and broad range of activities on offer. Hay Fayre is back this weekend with another perfect day out for all the family.

The focus of the fayre is a covered market, housing a selection of crafts, art, food and fashion. Amongst them are wood sculptors, jewellers, upholsterers, leather-workers and textile artists.

The event claims to be offering something a bit unusual, with a focus on participation and demonstration rather than simply shopping. There are live displays of craftsmanship from many of the exhibitors as well as a range of workshops for the young ones including street dance, cake decorating and mask making. There’s even renowned children’s author Karen Wallace signing her books for all-comers.

Music is clearly another important element that differentiates Hay Fayre from the average art or craft show. The Saturday and Sunday evenings see an incredible array of musicians coming from as far as Cornwall and London.

We can exclusively offer a 25% discount on tickets, simply use code FAYRE25 when making the purchase. For more information and tickets, go to

All in all, it looks like quite the weekend of activity in little old Hay-on-Wye!
