Two days to go and tickets are selling like hot cakes! Don’t miss out on inspiring talks and hands-on masterclasses, covering everything from beer to vegetables. A reminder that online ticket sales will end at midnight on Thursday. After this time, all tickets and wristbands can be purchased on the day from one our our box offices.

Ceilidh at the Castle

Friday 19:30 – 22:00
Come to a foot-stomping, roof-raising evening of folk music and dancing. Courtesy of our brilliant band Ceilidh Liberation Front, the ceilidh promises to be lots of fun! Expect a fun filled night of frolicking, country dancing with attitude, complete with a live Ceilidh band and a ‘caller’ to guide you through the steps. Tickets running low!

Shrub cocktails with Henry Chevallier Guild and Angela Clutton

Sunday 12:30 – 13:30
Take a trip through the history of drinking vinegars with head honcho of Aspalls Cider, Henry Chevallier Guild and tipple-loving food writer Angela Clutton. With plenty of samples to try, you’ll learn about the historical journey of the shrub and the drinking vinegars that create delicious cocktails.

Riverford Master Veg Cookery Class and Feast

Saturday and Sunday 10:30, 13:00 and 15:00
Learn how to cook up beautiful seasonal dishes with Riverford organic vegetables, freshly picked salads and dips. With just 8 places per class and a veg-inspired feast to enjoy, this one’s not to be missed!

Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen

Saturday 15:00 – 16:00
Londoner, pop-up chef and Ghanaian daughter, Zoe Adjonyoh lifts the lid on Ghana’s hitherto hidden gourmet secrets. Join her as she showcases recipes for her debut cookbook, from red red stew to jollof fried chicken.

Eating well for less with Rachel de Thample

Sunday 10:30 – 12:00
An inspiring masterclass into the wonderful world of veg, as well as tips on how to eat well for less, Rachel shows you how to cook delicious, family-friendly recipes from the new Abel & Cole Cookbook, How to Eat Brilliantly Every Day, that she co-authored.

Gather with Gill Meller

Saturday 16:00 – 17:30
For an inspiring take on British seasonal ingredients, join head chef and forager, Gill Meller, for a hands-on masterclass. Cooking from his new, and critically acclaimed cookbook, Gather, Gill will be throwing together some of his wild favourites, ceps with artichokes and chives, seared venison with rhubarb and anise and finished with a cobnut, yoghurt and honeycomb cake.

Women in beer

Saturday 13:30 – 14:30
Learn how these ladies are leading the way in the world of craft beer. Hear their inspiring stories, pick up top tips on breaking the industry and learn about the art of home-brewing. With award-winning beer writer, Melissa Cole; entrepreneur Kelly Sidgwick of Good Chemistry Brewing; and head brewer at Wild Card, Jaega Wise.

Fast and Free with Jane Baxter

Sunday 12:00 – 13:00
River Café-trained chef and food writer, Jane Baxter will be showcasing delicious recipes from her fifth cookbook, Leon Fast and Free. Inspired by the first high street restaurant to champion ‘eating free’, every mouth-watering recipe is completely gluten, dairy and refined sugar-free.

Big Green Egg

New to Abergavenny Food Festival 2017, we are excited to welcome Big Green Egg who are joining us in sponsorship of the Edinburgh Food Studio pop-up feast.

You may have seen the Big Green Egg on Great British Menu or MasterChef as it’s the chef’s BBQ of choice in over 300 of the UK’s best gastropubs and Michelin starred restaurants. Pizza, slow cooked lamb, roast beef or wood smoked paella, the Egg does it all! Tasting is believing so sign up for Edinburgh Food Studio’s five course feast, and as they say come with an open mind and an empty stomach!
