Brecon Beacons Summer Fayre

The annual Brecon Beacons Summer Fayre takes place this Bank Holiday weekend (26th-28th) at the National Park Visitor Centre. The three-day celebration is one of the highlights in the National Park’s calendar and this year will host the Go Outdoors Tent Show, a visit from the Lonely Planet UK Tour along with live music, welsh food stands, craft stalls and children’s activities. The fayre is free to enter and at only £2.50 to park all day it’s a great family day out.

Come rain or shine the Summer Fayre held at the Visitor Centre near Libanus, will be open from 10am to 5pm each day with over 30 stalls providing food, drinks and crafts.  Welsh wines, candy floss, Snowdonia cheese and honey products are just some of the weekend’s offerings, along with handmade teddy bears, paintings and ceramic jewellery. There will be a sizzling BBQ and cream teams along with entertainment provided by the Brecon Town Band and Tony Royale.  For the kids, there will be a free soft play area, badge making, an activity tent and the chance to meet some spectacular birds of prey.

Go Outdoors will display a range of different tents to explore and buy and on Saturday 26th August Lonely Planet will be stopping by as part of their road trip exploring Britain’s Best Wild Spots; they’ve promised book promotions and giveaways.

Mel Doel, Chairman of the National Park Authority said; “The Summer Fayre is a great summer celebration that is a really smashing day out for all the family. It’s a huge attraction for local people and visitors each year . As well as all the stands and stalls that will fill the grounds for this really special event  the National Park visitor centre will also be open offering food for all the family and a chance to buy crafts hand made in the Brecon Beacons.”
