The Birmingham Stage Company is back with one of Roald Dahl’s funniest and most exciting stories in the centenary year of his birth. Join us as we present the amazing story about a young boy who makes a marvellous new medicine to cure his grandmother of her terrifying temper. But when his grandmother drinks his special new potion, the most incredible things start to happen. And George’s adventure has just begun!

Brecon Beacons National Park Authority Geminid Meteor Shower and Stargazing Event-Thursday 8th and Friday 9th
The jewel in the sky will be the Geminid meteor shower and Martin Griffiths, Lead Presenter Dark Sky Wales will also give a presentation on this fascinating astronomical event.
Dark Sky Wales with their mobile planetarium will take you on a virtual tour of the heavens, and hopefully the skies will be crisp and clear so Allan Trow and Martin Griffiths can also use the telescopes and binoculars to guide you around the heavens and spot those all-important geminids.
This wonderful time of year will also allow those participating to see the wonders of the winter sky such as the great hunter Orion and his wonderful nebula, the seven sisters and Taurus the Bull.
If the weather is against us, this event will still go ahead with the presentation and mobile planatarium. Tickets are £14 which includes a jacket potato. This event starts at 7.00pm. Please come dressed in warm clothing. Get your tickets online here
More than 40 Christmas trees will be lighting up Brecon’s cathedral from the 9th til the 12th December representing local schools, charities and businesses.
The four-day Brecon Cathedral Christmas Tree Festival, which is free to enter, will also feature carols sung by children from local schools, story-telling and musical events.
Cor y Ffynnon will be performing on Saturday and Talgarth Male Choir will be singing on Monday.
The event includes trees from Brecon Dial-a-Ride, Pavo, Hay, Brecon and Talgarth Sanctuary for Refugees and Priory, Mount Street Infants and Ysgol y Bannau schools.
Brecon Farmers Market-Saturday 10th
