There are so many things to see and do in the Brecon Beacons every day. Here is guide to what’s on in Brecon this weekend:

Friday September 9th 

The annual Brecknock History Week Launch event at Theatr Brycheiniog 

The History week runs from the 9th until 18th September 2016.  There will be a programme of events devised by the local history societies of Breconshire – find out more here


Saturday September 10th 

A 35 Mile Team Endurance Challenge following one of the most scenic canal routes in Britain. Help celebrate over 200 years of one of the most scenic canal routes in Britain. This challenge that will take you on an historic journey through the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Boat rally & live music at Brecon canal basin finish! More info here
  • Brecon Farmers Market If you like to buy the freshest of produce and also like to know where your food comes from, you might like to visit your local farmers market.

Brecon Farmers Market is held at Brecon Market Hall on a monthly basis, taking place on the second Saturday of the month.market with a varied and tempting range of locally produced foods which include: honey, gourmet sauces, real ale, free range eggs, honey, welsh cakes, cheese, meat from

local farms, jams, the hottest of chilli sauces, savoury pies, tapas and even biscuit treats for your dog!

Sunday 11th September -PromFest

Following the success of the first PromFest held at Brecon Promenade last year we are planning bigger and better this year on Sunday 11th September 2016 (Noon – 4PM).

Monday 12th September

An outstanding and uplifting evening featuring Brecon Town Concert Band with a thrillingly varied programme which includes the favourites of Land of Hope & Glory, Rule Britannia, Sea Songs etc.
