Scenery Explained Wales
Offer guided walks and hikes in the Brecon Beacons National Park. These guided hikes are interpretative walks, packed with information about why the scenery looks the way it does. They are led by geologist and Mountain Leader, James Cresswell, who uses his polar guiding experience  to help you imagine how Wales would have looked like in the last Ice Age. If you want a Walking Holiday with us you can stay Full Board at our B&B and do your selection of different walks.

Scenic, historic, natural and cultural tours available daily, and starting either at Abergavenny train station, the public transport gateway to the National Park, or at your accommodation within the National Park. Use the train and do our tours as a day trip from UK cities e.g.: Cardiff, LONDON, Bristol, Birmingham or Manchester. The Brecon Beacons National Park is simply too big to see all the major sites in one day. I therefore offer 4 different tours that focus on 4 different areas of the National Park; Mountains, Monks and Books, Historic Beacon, Heart of the Park and Waterfall Country and The Wild West. Click here for more info on each tour and more.

With over 20 years’ experience, the founder Richard Davies started Welsh Overland Safari because he wanted to share his passion for the area and share his knowledge with like-minded adventurers.

And it’s not just our guided tours that make us different. When you join Welsh Overland Safari you’ll be traveling with one of our experienced and passionate guides namely ourselves.
