Tourism now contributes £481m to the Welsh economy and supports more than 8,000 jobs. Adventure makes up 10% of all tourism in Wales.
Director Mark Soanes said: “The adventure tourism sector has an enormous contribution to make to the Welsh economy but we have to work at it to ensure our level of performance is maintained year on year . We’re fortunate to work in the stunning 519sqm of the outstanding Brecon Beacons National Park. Adventure is therefore second nature. However we can’t rest on our laurels as visitors are bombarded with multiple holiday destination ideas with the choice increasing year on year.”
To coincide with the year of adventure Call of the Wild will also be running a competition each month where a canyoning session for 2 people can be won. Here’s the link
