This Saturday is the perfect opportunity for a spot of bird watching at Brechfa Pool.

Brecknock Wildlife Trust have an annual calendar of events, this weekend the walk takes in the Birds of Brechfa Pool & the Commons, one of the 22 Brecknock Wildlife Trust Sites.  

Meet Keith Noble at 9.30am on Llandefalle Hill, which is about 6 miles north of Brecon (GR SO 071 371).   Directions can be found here.   The walk will visit Llandefalle Hill and Llangoed Common for resident Skylarks, Stonechats, Linnets, and perhaps Golden Plover flocks and newly-arrived Wheatears, then Brechfa Pool for water birds.

Suitable clothing and footwear for rough walking is advised.  The walk will be from 9.30am  til 12.30pm.

Suggested donation for this walk is £3.
