A Spot of Bird Watching in the Brecon Beacons….
Looking for ideas for things to do this weekend?
This Saturday is the perfect opportunity for a spot of bird watching at Brechfa Pool.
Meet Keith Noble at 9.30am on Llandefalle Hill, which is about 6 miles north of Brecon (GR SO 071 371). Directions can be found here. The walk will visit Llandefalle Hill and Llangoed Common for resident Skylarks, Stonechats, Linnets, and perhaps Golden Plover flocks and newly-arrived Wheatears, then Brechfa Pool for water birds.
Suitable clothing and footwear for rough walking is advised. The walk will be from 9.30am til 12.30pm.
Suggested donation for this walk is £3.
Don’t forget to have a look at Brecknock Wildlife Trust’s other reserves on their website.
