Ride quiet country lanes with views of the Black Mountains from Drover’s HQ in Hay-on-Wye to Talgarth Mill to experience their ‘Miller Morning’, where you’ll learn about mill maintenance and mill some grain.

Cheesy Riding with Drover Cycles – Learn about cheese-making from fresh milk to maturation at a working artisan dairy, and top off your day with a bike ride to the world-famous booktown of Hay-on-Wye!
On Cheesy Riders, roll up your sleeves and join Monkland Cheese Dairy’s artisan cheesemakers as they draw on 18 years experience to guide you through the highly-skilled process from start to finish.
Then enjoy a ploughman’s lunch in the dairy’s award-winning cafe before browsing Monkland’s farm shop, which stocks a variety of cheeses made on-site, including their famous ‘Little Hereford Cheese’, along with other local goodies, ciders, beers, apple juice, ice cream and more. Finally, saddle up with a complimentary mini-hamper of take-home cheese for a 20-mile bike ride to Hay-on-Wye.
Price: £110 per person / family of four (two adults / two children) £360. Available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only. Price includes transportation from Hay-on-Wye to the dairy, bike hire, lunch, cheese-making, complimentary take-home cheese.
