It’s November in the Brecon Beacons!

5th November – Bonfire Night 

Come down to Talybont village hall at 5.45 for an evening of fantastic fireworks and some classic Bonfire Night food.

7th November – An audience with Jim Wilson 

The chair of the Brecon Beacons society will be speaking on the Dark Sky Initiative at the Rhydspence Hotel. The talk will focus on how the Initiative counters light pollution to maintain our beloved Dark Sky Reserve status.

8th November  – Charity Twmpath

Have a jib at the Barn at Brynich’s barn dance to raise money for Brecon Mountain Rescue Team. For just £10 a ticket guests will enjoy an evening of dancing, good food and lots of fun.

16th November – Stained Glass Workshop

Get creative at Tithe Barn at Brecon Cathedral and learn how to do your own stain glass in collaboration with Brecon Arts Festival.

29th Nov-1st Dec – Hay Festival Winter Weekend 

Fans of the Hay Literature Festival, do not dismay, the Hay Festival Winter Weekend has an excellent programme planned for your winter culture fix. Highlights include historian David Reynolds and children’s author Michael Rosen as well as puppet shows and crafting workshops. Not only that but the whole town is getting involved with events at The Swan Hotel and Hay Castle. Or simply have a browse through Hay’s little shops for some Christmas shopping; head to Booth’s Bookshop for a rustic second-hand paperback, the Hay Antique Market for hidden treasures or the Lion Street Gallery for work from the best artists working in Wales today.
