Happy Halloween in the Brecon Beacons!

It’s almost time to dig out your scariest mask and pick the perfect pumpkin for Halloween next week! The Brecon Beacons have plenty on so see if you can brave it at these spooky events if you dare…

The craft centre are putting on fantastic glass blowing and torch work demonstrations and participants can have a go themselves with a one-to-one tuition. They will also be putting on pumpkin carving workshops, competitions, live music over two days with toasty hot chocolate and melted marshmallows on offer too!
2. Halloween Fright Night at Craig Y Nos Castle (Wed 30th October)
Offering a children’s Halloween party during the day before a spectacular adult’s only event in the evening. The Adult’s Only Halloween Fright Night begins at 7:30pm and includes 16 actors, stage pyrotechnics and illusions, close hand magicians, clairvoyant mediums, a haunted castle light show, late disco and karaoke as well as a three course meal.
If this 15th century castle wasn’t spooky enough, Tretower Court have a Halloween-themed trail during the day and scary storytelling all about the house’s ghosts, local legends and mysteries in the evening.
4. History and Hauntings at Dinefwr Castle and Park (Mon 28th Oct – Fri 1st Nov)
An evening of darkness, led by torchlight around the house! Learn the history of the house and hear haunting stories behind the property.
5. Halloween Party at Cantref (26th October-3rd November)
This October Half Term Cantref Adventure Farm will be hosting their biggest ever Halloween Party. Activities include Halloween Party Games, Halloween Craft Sessions, Mr Ev’s Halloween Show, Tractor & Trailer Ride, Pumpkin Launching, Scary Walk Through, Halloween Treasure Hunt with a Free Pumpkin for each child and Halloween Fancy Dress Competition!
