Bakers’ Table Makes the NTA Shortlist!

A record number of Welsh tourism businesses have entered this year’s National Tourism Awards for Wales, with The Bakers’ Table Café at Melin Talgarth Mill being one of 59 now shortlisted for the prestigious awards.

Make sure you vote for the Brecon Beacons (whether it be The Baker’s Table, The Walnut Tree or The Bell at Skenfirth)!

The Bakers’ Table which encompasses a Bakery as well as the Cafe is shortlisted in the category of Best Place to Eat – Café. The awards are staged by Visit Wales to recognise and reward the very best in Welsh tourism.

Café Manager, Nicola Willis, and Head Baker, Stephanie Durning are delighted that the Café, which has been open for just under two years, has been included in the short list.  Customers are now being invited to vote for the Café on line.  Nicola Willis said ‘Our staff and customers are delighted that we have been shortlisted for this prestigious award.  Our food is fresh, local, and seasonal and we pride ourselves on excellent customer service. If anyone hasn’t voted for us yet we would like to invite them to do so at  http://www.ntawales.com/english/vote/’.

The short-listed businesses were officially announced on Monday 17th June 2013 at the launch of the new tourism strategy for Wales by Minister for Economy, Science and Transport, Edwina Hart.

A panel of independent judges whittled down all entries into the announced shortlist. The finalists from that shortlist will be unveiled at the National Tourism Awards for Wales awards ceremony at Venue Cymru in Llandudno on 21 November 2013, where the overall winners will be crowned…
