Background to the survey….

  • The Brecon Beacons Visitor Survey is an ongoing survey which runs throughout the year.
  • It is an important way to find out what visitors to the area really think about the Brecon Beacons. It provides information which can be used by both businesses and organisations to understand what visitors really want and how services and facilities can be developed to meet their needs. It also provides very important evidence which can be used to help with funding applications for resources to benefit the area.
  •  Until now, the survey has relied on email addresses of visitors being collected from a relatively small number of businesses and TICs. This means that the responses are skewed towards overnight visitors and certain types of accommodation rather than reflecting the overall profile of visitors to the area.
