Brecon Beacons Photographer of the Week: Simon Powell

Here are some more amazing landscape pictures that have been taken in the Brecon Beacons National Park by Simon Powell.

Here’s what Simon’s got to say about the Brecon Beacons:
“Crafted by the last ice age and nurtured by mankind, home to magnificent vista spectacular dawns and dusks a sanctuary to a varied and unique flora and fauna. The home to prehistoric settlers and the battle ground for invading roman armies the Brecon Beacons are the foundation of welsh history. A true Mecca for the landscape photographer”

Simon Powell was born in the shadow of the Brecon Beacons National Park it was to become his playground as a child a lover and teacher as a teenager. He says,
“now it’s my obsession to capture it’s moods, its beauty and its evolution under uncertain climatic conditions. From deep mist filled valleys to towering heights, deep inside lies hidden secluded streams and waterfalls shrouded by ancient bluebell woods. My only fear is that I will not be able to do this truly stunning national park the justice it deserves in my life time. ”
