Feeling a bit peckish? Well how about waiting until tomorrow and head to the Abergavenny Food Festival which is taking place next weekend!
See passionate performers. Hear soap-box rants and electric debate. Savour the delights of fishing at dawn or dancing at dusk – yes, there’s a fantastic party at The Castle. You can taste it, share it and bring it all together in one big celebration on the Welsh Borders.
The event’s appeal lies in its special mix of markets alongside individually ticketed masterclasses, tutored tastings and talks – all showcasing some of the most skilled, ardent and knowledgeable practitioners in the country.
Imagine over two hundred stalls across five venues – spilling out into the streets of this unspoilt market town. In the delightful Victorian market hall you can catch a rolling programme of dems, featuring the region’s finest. In the grounds of the ancient castle, there’s a food academy with hands-on children’s workshops, plus story-telling, comedy and live music. There’s also a cheese & wine show, and a fish market.
Stroller tickets start at £7.00. There’s free entry to all children under sixteen if accompanied by an adult. Now that’s something to celebrate! Tickets and passes can be bought on the day. Sign up for e.news bulletins at www.abergavennyfoodfestival.com
