Garwnant Visitor Centre a Mecca for children looking for some free fun….
Today’s family fun suggestion is a place that will keep everyone entertained for hours and is situated in a very peaceful area of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
With over 400 acres of beautiful woodland surrounding Garwnant Visitor Centre, there are plenty of fun and interesting things for visitors to do there.
Experience Garwnant’s tranquil nature trails, the thrillingly fun activities on offer and enjoy fresh local produce in the restaurant.
Where is it?
Situated between Brecon and Methyr Tydfil just off the A470, the centre is surrounded by beautiful woodlands and a vast mountain landscapes of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Trails to inspire and learn….
The Nature trails are great for parents looking to take their children out on a walk and to have a fun learning experience. Choose from four great trails where visitors can choose from a selection of guided routes including an animal puzzle trail, an easy or moderate walk. There’s also a two mile walk to some picturesque waterfalls for groups looking for a bit more of an adventurous walk.
A great place to introduce children to mountain biking…
There’s also a kids’ mountain bike course that is designed to introduce younger people to off road biking. The bike park has a series of child-friendly obstacles designed especially to improve their skills and build confidence on a mountain bike.
What else is there?
There’s a very fun low rope course and children’s play area, that will keep the them entertained for hours. Visitors can also go to a nice picnic area refreshments, or visit the café for some very delicious food and drinks.
