Dinosaur Park

No school and lots of spare time! A Daily Suggestion….

If you’re struggling to keep the kids entertained during the summer holiday, fed up with them lifelessly staring at a screen.  Here are some top tips to get them to be a bit more active.

Take a trip to the Brecon Beacons National Park, where there are endless amounts of fun things to do.

This week we’re going to cover a series of activities and events for children.

Suggestion Number One: National Showcaves – Dan yr Ogof.

A trip to the World famous National Showcaves of Wales is a fun day out and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

So what can visitors expect?

Discover how over millions of years the caves have formed and how humans have exploited the great natural wonders. Tour inside the caves, to discover areas such as the cathedral and bone cave.  Along with some very impressive stalactites and waterfalls.

Then travel back in time to learn about what existed before humans roamed the earth at the impressive Dinosaur Park.
Along with these interesting spots visitors will also get to visit a museum, shire horse centre and farm yard.

How much are tickets and what’s included?

One ticket includes entrance into the following things: Dan-yr-Ogof Showcave, Iron Age Farm, Cathedral Showcave, Dinosaur Park, Bone Cave, Museum, Millennium Stone Circles, Shire Horse Centre, Mr Morgan’s Farmyard and Barney Owl’s Play Area. Adults £13.75, children under three years old are free and children tickets are £7 per child.
