Hay Fayre

This just in from the Globe at Hay and they’re offering our readers 50% off evening entertainment, find out more below…

14th – 15th July , Gates open 10am, The Globe, Hay-on-Wye

The team behind How The Light Gets In festival are very proud to present a unique series of events launching this summer. Craft fair? Food market? Festival? Well, a bit of all three! Hay Fayre challenges the notion of the traditional fair with a flavour of the extraordinary.

It is a multi-sensory experience with a healthy dose of participation and demonstration. The Market will be brimming with exquisite wares, the lawn awash with activities and live craftsmanship, a gorgeous converted chapel shall act as home to a range of workshops for all ages.

Hay Fayre stands for independence, originality and the local. However, distinguished designer makers make up only a part of the event. How about enrolling in a Bollywood dance workshop, learning to juggle or spin a plate; watching a wooden sculpture take shape, a rod of glass transform into a beautiful pendant or an antique coin turn into an incredible piece of jewellery. Sip on a glass of Hereforshire cider, get your teeth round an organic steak sandwich, or simply relax over coffee in our gorgeous live lounge.

When the sun begins to sink and the market doors swing to a close, the band begins to play! An evening of entertainment shall await, a chance to unwind from the day’s activities.

If you are interested in beautiful and unusual crafts, artisan food produce or magical artwork then Hay Fayre may just be for you. It finds its home at The Globe, a prestigious café and arts venue in the quaint, market town of Hay-on-Wye; we would love to see you there. Be part of something special, see you at the Fayre!
